Before You Start: Onboarding Video First, check out Arch Calendar's overall structure and core workflow through this video. You can understand the 3-step flow at a glance through actual usage screens.
3-Step Workflow: Capture → Planning → Organizing
Arch Calendar implements the essence of productivity through three core stages. Starting with Capture, moving to Planning, and completing with Organizing in a natural flow. Through this simple yet powerful workflow, scattered thoughts transform into systematic execution power.
There's no need to waste time learning complex features—just understand these intuitive 3 steps and you can immediately focus on productive work. Like the principle of an arch, achieving maximum results with minimal elements is the true beginning of efficiency.
Basic Structure
Arch Calendar's interface consists of three core areas:
Sidebar: This is the space area where you can organize tasks and schedules by category. Create your own spaces so you can distinguish what category of tasks and schedules they are just by looking at the calendar.
Inbox: A temporary storage for instantly collecting thoughts from your mind. Press shortcut C to quickly add tasks anytime, ensuring you don't miss any ideas and collect everything in one place.
Calendar: The core space for turning plans into execution through time blocking. You can intuitively create and adjust schedules with just clicks and drags.
Core Workflow
Step 1: Capture
Quickly record all tasks and ideas that come to mind in the Inbox. Press shortcut C and an input window appears immediately. Whether you're in a meeting or walking, don't hesitate to capture thoughts the moment they arise. You don't need to organize perfectly—collecting first is what matters.
Step 2: Planning
Drag tasks from the Inbox to the Calendar to assign specific execution times. Through this process, vague tasks transform into clear execution plans.
Step 3: Organizing
Connect appropriate Spaces (categories) to tasks and schedules for systematic management. Press shortcut # and a space selection window appears. Organizing by work projects and personal areas reduces cognitive load and enables quick situation awareness.
Detailed Information Management
Each task and schedule can have related materials and detailed information added through the Links & Notes feature. Attach relevant URLs or write markdown-formatted notes to manage all necessary information in one place. Rich information management is possible without separate tools.
Tips
Internalize the Workflow: Consciously follow the 3 steps at first. Repeating the Capture → Planning → Organizing sequence will make it a natural habit.
Utilize the Today Tab: Start your day by opening the Today tab to see all today's tasks at a glance. You can easily identify completed work, remaining tasks, and incomplete work to adjust priorities.
Use Shortcuts: Master C key for quick task addition and # key for space connection to enable efficient management with just the keyboard.
Practice Time Blocking: Start by allocating generous time blocks, then gradually build experience to predict accurate time requirements.
Keep Inbox Clean: Develop a habit of regularly moving Inbox items to the Calendar daily or periodically.
